History of MayDay, Inc

MayDay was formed in 1983 to assist victims/survivors of domestic and sexual assault in Baker County. By 1987 MayDay was fully functioning as an independent private, non-profit. In 1989, Mayday became Incorporated as the primary DV Advocacy Agency and Non-profit in Baker County.

In the years since, MayDay has grown along with the survivors needs. Many services have been added that include support groups, a 24/7 crisis line, hospital accompaniment, Court Accompaniment, co-located services and a confidential shelter.

MayDay provides assistance, support, education, and advocacy for victims/survivors of domestic and sexual violence, stalking, and trafficking in Baker County. MayDay's two primary objectives are to be survivor centered in our services and to go at individuals own pace for their health and safety.
